# Hi, I’m Sergey.

I build digital products and like getting to the bottom of the data.

I’m Sergey Budaev. I build websites and apps, work in advertising and analytics, and use AI in my work. I like following an idea all the way through: understanding the question, making something people can use, and checking how well it works.

VoteIsrael began as a personal interest. I follow Israeli politics, enjoy polling, and can happily lose an evening in a spreadsheet when the numbers don’t add up. I wanted a clearer picture: several sources, visible assumptions, and a way to compare expectations with the result.

That led me to work on a mathematical model. I wanted to account for who conducted each poll and when, look for the broader signal, and check the estimates against the vote count. Making the calculation transparent helps me spot my own mistakes and sharpen my conclusions.

The result is a site where you can see how a town voted, compare polls with results, check a source, or take the data into your own analysis. I built it mainly for myself, then decided to share it with anyone else who enjoys looking a little closer.

This is the kind of work I like: taking a complicated subject, finding its structure, and turning it into a useful tool. VoteIsrael brings together much of what I work on—products, data, interfaces, analytics and AI.
