2026 election · how NEWSru.co.il survey participants reported voting
Recent immigrants (336 responses) compared with all survey participants (4,385 responses). The recent-immigrant group is included in the full sample. Percentages were rounded by the publisher.
The eight lists published in the recent-immigrant comparison are shown. Their totals are 95% and 94%; the remaining responses are not fully reported here. Values have not been rescaled to 100%, and omitted responses are not zero.
A voluntary online survey of NEWSru.co.il visitors. It describes its participants and is not a representative estimate of all immigrants’ or all Russian-speaking voters’ choices.
NEWSru.co.il, September 9–12, 2026: 3,725 participants. This voluntary reader survey measured voting intentions, not election results. Group sizes come from the original response counts.
Only three leading lists are reported for each group. An omitted party does not mean 0%. September intentions and October reported votes came from different sets of participants.
Former Soviet Union origin · 2022 election · respondents’ reports of their vote
Each column represents all respondents in that group, including those who did not vote or declined to answer. These are the authors’ published, weighted and rounded percentages.
“Second generation” means Israeli-born children of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, aged 18–34. Immigration periods follow the study’s definitions.
The 2014–2023 group was recruited through social media. Participation was self-selected, and the authors caution that it is not a representative sample. These findings concern the 2022 election, not 2026.
The 2014–2023 group includes people who arrived after the 2022 election. “Did not vote” therefore cannot be read as an official abstention rate among eligible voters.
Double-envelope ballots are included in the national result. Locality and neighborhood breakdowns exclude them because the vote cannot be assigned to a place of residence.
Ministry of Aliyah and Integration: country of origin and receiving locality. These are new arrivals, not current town populations. They include children and do not establish language, ethnicity or voting behavior. The dataset has no 2026 records yet.
CBS census reference date: 2 April 2022. Foreign-born shares use Jews and Others, not all residents or eligible voters. Arrival cohorts and birth-country shares use foreign-born members of that category. Later arrivals are outside the snapshot. Combined reporting areas count once.
